Machupicchu – 2 Days

Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, is an unmissable destination when visiting Cusco, offering a perfect blend of ancient culture, stunning archaeology, and breathtaking natural beauty. To enhance your experience, we offer a Birding & Cultural Photography Tour Extension, a two-day adventure that can be added before or after your main tour, allowing you to explore Peru’s rich history, cuisine, wildlife, and landscapes while capturing unforgettable moments. Whether starting in Cusco or returning after your Manu birding tour, this extension promises an extraordinary journey through the heart of Peru’s cultural and natural wonders.

Depending on your starting point, you may need to take a flight to Cusco. If you are already in Cusco, we will pick you up directly from your hotel. From there, we embark on a scenic 1.5 to 2-hour drive to Ollantaytambo, a charming town steeped in Inca history. Here, we board a train to Machu Picchu, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Urubamba (Vilcanota) River and its surrounding landscapes. Keep an eye out for Torrent Ducks and White-capped Dippers along the way! Upon arrival, our transfer service will greet you and take you to your hotel in Machu Picchu Town (Aguas Calientes). The afternoon is yours to relax and explore—whether birdwatching, shopping for souvenirs, or unwinding at the local hot springs.

Your visit includes a 2-hour guided tour of the ruins, followed by free time to explore at your leisure. Afterward, return to Aguas Calientes for lunch before boarding the train back to Cusco. Upon arrival at the train station, our team will transfer you to your hotel, marking the end of this unforgettable journey.
